Cuba, the largest island in the Carribean and only 90 miles south of Key West Florida, is known for the vibrancy of her people and the local culture, salsa dancing, unspoiled beaches, and a strong art and music scene.

Cuba is now experiencing a warming of relations with the United States, including the recently re-opened US Embassy in Havana, symbolizing the ever-closer return of normalized relations and trade between these once-friendly nations. Although it has been open to tourism from around the world for many years, such as the Canadians and Europeans who visit Cuba, the country is still underdeveloped by most standards. For many travelers, that is part of the appeal and Cuba remains a beautiful place in transition.

The Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrive Havana

Your trip begins with a flight across the beautiful Caribbean Ocean, and into Cuba and the capital city of Havana ! We will be waiting for you at the airport and will bring you into the city center and your hostal or private home for the next 2 nights. Build bikes, hit the town exploring!

  • Day 2 - Havana by Bike

Explore the timeless city of Havana on 2 wheels - we will e all over the city today, mixing in some history, some urban riding, a park, the seaside Malecon, and more.
  • Day 3 Havana to Soroa

The first possibility is to start cycling just outside of Havana. cycling in the north road very close to the sea meaning we will see it on the way, this road have fast traffic but is big so the group of cyclist just need to maintain in the right side of the road. the road is very flat almost all the way so keeping 20 km/h for most cyclist should be ok. we keep in this road until the "Puerto del Mariel" where will look for the highway and stay on it for 5 km to take a rural pavement (but in bad condition) road alloying to see the small towns and country side of Cuba to finally arrive to Las Terrazas, until Las Terrazas we had about 60 km t0 cover. After lunch and relax in Las Terrazas can be discuss if want to reach Soroa cycling or driving the way to soroa is "very very very" hilly and have a section very steep for strong climbers . The other way to do the trip if everyone is agreed will be using the support car in a way to reduce the 90 km to 50 km cycling the most interesting parts of the day that will start using the rural road to Las Terrazas to cycle 30 km to Las Terrazas and then cycling to Soroa after lunch time
  • Day 4 Soroa to Puerto Esperanza

We will start driving to a town name San Diego de los Banos (to skip the highway) from San Diego the group will go to Parque la Guira The next 14 km has very low traffic for a very bad road with a lot of climbing. finish that section will be acceptable flat until hill "La americana". La Americana is super steep (empinada) but is only 800 m so can be walked if is to much. after that the difficulty of the trip is easy until lunch place "Resvaloso River" again lunch and have a swim to refresh relax and wait for the heat to be less. From the river will go to Puerto Esperanza to steep from this point still need to do about 20 km that can be done cycling or driving.
  • Day 5 - Beach at Cayo Jutias

See a Cuba you never imagined - green, lush, and peaceful. There are ample hills today, and we encourage you to take on the challenge but you are also welcome to ride in the support van. The scenery is beautiful either way! Start from puerto Esperanza to Cayo jutias about 60 km very flat very low traffic, the road is again in bad conditions but still is a very nice ride. lunch in the beach swimm in one of cuba top 10 beaches, have some drinks and in the afternoon return driving all the way to Vinales to sleep there.
  • Day 6 - Vinales to Havana

Today you'll enjoy some free time at your leisure to explore Vinales. Take a horseback ride, visit a cigar farm, some of the local caves, or just relax on the port watching life in this idyllic mountain farm town. After lunch, return to Havana where we will still have time for some last minute shopping, walks around the city, or visiting one of the many museums before partaking in a celebratory dinner at one of the locals' favorite restaurants in Havana.
  • Day 7 - Depart Havana

Unfortunately it is time to head home but not before one last delicious, homemade Cuban breakfast. After, we will drive you to the airport for your departing flight.
